The Power Within

The power within comes from the thoughts you think. The truth always rises to the top. We become what we think. We see it when we believe it. The challenge that we all have is that the programming that has been taking place is not always allowing us to become what our true potential is. Turn off the TV and your mind will expand and you will see that there is massive abundance.    Read books, volunteer, play with your friends, children and family.  We are all connected.    My passions are to enable those who want to empower themselves with education and knowledge because they want to Think!    Leave the Rat Race.com and Wealth To Freedom.com

Time is Now

Time is our most valuable asset.  Time is perishable.   Time is now. Time is how we plan, play, work and do our lives.  Who and how we spend our time is how we create our legacy of our life. Many people are stuck in the Rat Race and working just to pay the rent/mortgage and not having much fun doing that.  Some people are working hard at their businesses as the sole proprietor and thus have no leverage.  They can only trade time for money. Some people waste time in front of the TV, sitting in traffic, standing in line, complaining about the thing that is bothering them.

Time goes by so quickly when we are having fun and busy.  Time goes by slowly when we are stuck doing something that is less than fun or not what we want to do.  Time is measured and quantified.   We measure our age, the anniversaries, the time at work, the time it takes to travel, stand in line and just about everything. It is quantified for payment as an employee.

When I reflect on how life is now, compared to only a few years ago when I was so busy raising a family I am wiser about the value of time. I was working for a corporation trading time for money, and planning for the vacations which always were too short.  Spent time doing the daily things such as shopping for food, paying the bills, laundry and the routine of driving the kids to and from their dance, friends and activities.  I realize that time was not always used productively.   I also spent too much time watching cable TV, too much time in traffic, too much time worrying and not being present in the now.

The kids are raised and now young adults.  Sometimes I wonder how they grew up so fast and then I realize why.  Time went by quickly because I was busy just doing stuff.  They are great young adults and I enjoy watching them conduct their lives.  I seek times for us to connect and spend time together and totally enjoy the moments of time.    This week my youngest came for a visit and we enjoyed some moments of huge value in Whistler.

My partner Robert and I went to the Service Awards Recognition at Whistler-Blackcomb this week on top of Whistler at night.  Very special time to spend together with incredible people.

Time is moving quickly as we are preparing to host the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.  I know the time will go by quickly for all involved, athletes, volunteers, Olympic family, spectators and entertainers.  25000 Volunteers will operate the games.  We are called Workforce 2010.

Most of us live with an expectation that time is unlimited.  A few people do not because of health challenges.  We must live with time as a gift of now because we do not know when our limit will come to an end.  We must be present, congruent and be clear on our intentions.  We must be using our time with respect for how it effects us, and those we interact with, and aware that we are all connected.

As Eckhart Tolle writes in his book The Power Of Now.  There is only NOW and we must be present with it.

I am grateful that I live in the now most of time and am present.

I am proud of my accomplishments with the skills I have now because I stopped wasting time in traffic, watch cable TV and with people who do not get it yet.  I have great friends who are present and living in now.  Knowing that time is only now and we do not know what our limit is.

Knowing that we are all responsible for what we create and leave behind because we all have a purpose.

Change for 2010

Change is the only constant thing that happens.  Yet, people resist change.   Change requires adaptation and flexibility.  Change is required for growth.  Look at mother nature.  She is constantly changing, high mountain peaks are being eroded by the rain, wind, snow and the rivers are changing the direction and moving and shaping the rocks, sand and plants growing along side them.  In many parts of the world we experience seasons, Winter and Summer, Spring and Autumn.   The plants grow , die, hibernate.  The animals change locations and hibernate.  The weather changes daily and people must adapt to the changes with clothing and what they will do that day.

Yet, when there is change in the family structure, or employment or health or location or friends or the economy, we somehow want it to remain the same.  It thankfully does not and most of us adapt and move forward with making the appropriate adjustments.  However, some do not.  They complain, get angry, sad, gossip, feel depressed, and think “why me, when will it (the changes) ever stop?”

Consider this and be grateful for change because it is important to the maturing and evolution of people, plants, animals and of course nature.  We are experiencing what we are able to handle, take lessons from the changes and then move forward with appropriate adaptation.  Be grateful for the change.

Sayings “Time heals”,  “give it time”, “next time will be better”, “in time it will change”  and many more sayings.  These all speak of change.

For 2010 and beyond I encourage you to accept change because they are the only constant.

When I look back on 2009 I have experienced  big changes to my life.  Some of them have been very purposeful and others have just happened.  I know that I am moving forward with gratitude and momentum to my life of financial freedom and complete freedom to choose.

I love my family and friends.   I tell that to them regularly.

Does JFK Speak In Context Of Today’s World?

The Greatest Enemy of the Truth is not the Lie — Deliberate, Contrived and Dishonest, but the myth persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Belief in myths allows for the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.  John F Kennedy.
