Olympic Volunteer Host

I have completed 6 shifts as Host for the Alpine Racing Venue at Whistler Creekside.  I am only one of 2900 volunteers working to make the Alpine Racing venue work for the athletes, spectators and media.  We are all working hard to make everyday successful.  I am so impressed at the quality of the people who volunteer.  The work ethic is the highest I have ever seen.  The spectators are all motivated to cheer on all the skiers and the media is keen to cover it.  There is army of people who are working to bring this to the world.  I have a new appreciation for the effort, energy, coordination and focus the team of people bring to this event.

The Olympic spirit is often referred to by the media as unique and special.  It is and the energy that comes through is what our world needs.  We must export the emotions that comes from knowing that we are all here on the planet together and we are connected to each other.  We are all humans who are responsible for each other and as individuals.

The Olympics are an event unlike any other.  Each individual who actively participates at some level expands their energy and effects others.  The athletes all have had success that has been learned from failures.   They have faced their fears and overcome them because they have a focus and dream that is unstoppable.   Some have had to overcome physical injury that could have stopped them, yet they have gone on to win medals.  What makes this happen?  It is determination and belief.

The Canadian Athletes are succeeding more than they ever have before.  What I have observed is that they are doing this because they have a community of supporters, a country of believers, families who make sacrifices and clear focus on their personal dream to win at their sport.    I admire and respect each of them.

There is a flame of belief in each of us.  Some of us have let it die out, and others have forgotten to tend to it.  The flame is our belief in ourselves to become what are meant to be.  Find your flame again, light it up and give it your energy and focus.  Find out what you are meant to be and pursue it like the Olympic Athletes have.

Start by volunteering somewhere in your community.  You will find it to be rewarding.  You will have personal growth from it.   When ever I have volunteered I have had tremendous growth and met the nicest people.  Some have become life long friends.

Believe it is possible.  Believe in yourself and find your flame.

Change for 2010

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Change is the only constant thing that happens.  Yet, people resist change.   Change requires adaptation and flexibility.  Change is required for growth.  Look at mother nature.  She is constantly changing, high mountain peaks are being eroded by the rain, wind, snow and the rivers are changing the direction and moving and shaping the rocks, sand and plants growing along side them.  In many parts of the world we experience seasons, Winter and Summer, Spring and Autumn.   The plants grow , die, hibernate.  The animals change locations and hibernate.  The weather changes daily and people must adapt to the changes with clothing and what they will do that day.

Yet, when there is change in the family structure, or employment or health or location or friends or the economy, we somehow want it to remain the same.  It thankfully does not and most of us adapt and move forward with making the appropriate adjustments.  However, some do not.  They complain, get angry, sad, gossip, feel depressed, and think “why me, when will it (the changes) ever stop?”

Consider this and be grateful for change because it is important to the maturing and evolution of people, plants, animals and of course nature.  We are experiencing what we are able to handle, take lessons from the changes and then move forward with appropriate adaptation.  Be grateful for the change.

Sayings “Time heals”,  “give it time”, “next time will be better”, “in time it will change”  and many more sayings.  These all speak of change.

For 2010 and beyond I encourage you to accept change because they are the only constant.

When I look back on 2009 I have experienced  big changes to my life.  Some of them have been very purposeful and others have just happened.  I know that I am moving forward with gratitude and momentum to my life of financial freedom and complete freedom to choose.

I love my family and friends.   I tell that to them regularly.

Does JFK Speak In Context Of Today’s World?

Monday, December 21st, 2009

The Greatest Enemy of the Truth is not the Lie — Deliberate, Contrived and Dishonest, but the myth persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Belief in myths allows for the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.  John F Kennedy.

Remembering On Remebrance Day.

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Remembrance Day and Veteran Day are days we are told to remember the people and “purpose” for which we have fought wars for.  Our freedom.

Do take time today to consider if you are truly free and are the wars that have been created worth the incredible loss of life.  The lives lost, the terrible suffering of people does require each of us to pause. Remember and then ask questions, hard questions that sometimes gives us answers we are surprised at. Expand your mind and seek answers.

We are not in a World War the moment which is a good thing.  However, Canada, USA, UK, and NATO Allied Country’s are all in Wars.  Their mandate primarily is stabilize the “threat”.  My question is “Who are they stabilizing?”   “What is the true agenda?”

War’s are about “Profits”.  They always have been and always will be.  The profits of Power and Wealth.  Power and control being the 1st priority.   We all seek to have power and control.  However, when we seek to have Power and Control regardless of the consequences of our fellow man and the living of our planet, the agenda is corrupt.   The real agenda is being exposed as more and more people wake up to the manipulation and brain washing that has been taking place through multiple methods.

Ignorance is bliss because you do not know what you do not know.  Then suddenly something happens and you realize that remaining ignorant is not an option any more.  Perhaps it is someone close to you who dies of Cancer or in a war/conflict.

Remaining ignorant is no longer an option.  We are all connected, plants, animals and humanity.

We collectively have to ask questions and seek the truthful answers, share the knowledge and stop being blindly lead like Sheeple.  We owe it ourselves, our planet and every living entity.

What are we remembering today?  For me it is a day to remember why I am no longer being manipulated and blindly lead by the “agenda”.

I have said and written about this many times.  READ books.  They contain wisdom and abundance of knowledge.  Today’s recommended reading is

A New Earth; Awaking Your Life’s Purpose. Eckhart Tolle

Believe it and See it.

Friday, November 6th, 2009

The  law of attraction is talked about and explored, written about and often debated.   As I am evolving in my life I am experiencing the law of attraction all around me.  Experiences and people are coming into my life from many different directions and I am sometimes surprised at the pace in which it is happening.

The thing that I seek out and value the most in life it TRUTH, Honesty, being Impeccable and giving without wanting.  I am seeing and experiencing the new and high energy friendships that are developed because this basic value is shared and honored.

I am grateful for the experiences that I have, even the ones that are less than easy.  I take lessons from each of them and apply my knowledge and wisdom to move quickly from the less than pleasant ones.  I observe that people who are stuck at a place in time are often looking for someone to blame.  They feel that somehow they are just victims.   Being stuck as a victim will only get your sympathy for a short while and then people have their own issues to handle and thus cannot support the victim mentality and give it their energy.

Yes, each experience is here to learn from.  I have walked through some difficult ones.  Everyone has them if they are living a life that interfaces with other people.

I know that when we choose to move through the experience quickly and honestly we are able to get to the fun and happy cheerful experiences.

I had a dream that I dreamed for several years.  I was very invested in that dream.  Then suddenly the people of that dream took a direction that took that dream and sent it into the trash bin.  After the initial shock, then anger and sadness I realized I had to start to dream again.  Dream a new dream and be aware that the dream had to be updated and kept current, keep it moving along as life is moving along.

Connecting the dots with lines to draw new pictures, a new dream that is going to take me to abundance and more control because my knowledge and education is constant.

The law of attraction and the universe is delivering daily. Taking risks with the dream and putting my energy into it.  Giving it my intention and love.

Believing it and seeing it.    The possibilities are limitless.  Keeping the movement and taking action.

I am happy and cheerful, I always see the possibilities and am dreaming many dreams and loving each experience.
